India's largest electric scooter manufacturer, Ola Electric, has introduced its most affordable model in a bid to attract more buyers as the price of e-scooters becomes more competitive with traditional gasoline models.
At the company's "End Ice Age, Part 1" event held on Independence Day, Ola Electric, led by Bhavish Aggarwal, unveiled its latest offering - the Ola S1X EV scooter - along with other new products.
The company introduced the new MoveOS update for its electric scooter which the company claims is the biggest software update yet.
The Ola S1 Pro has been updated to deliver higher speeds and enhanced range, according to Ola Electric. The Ola S1 Air continues to offer the same specs that were introduced earlier this year. Ola S1 X has three new models which includes three models: S1 X+, S1 X and S1 X (2kWh).
Dubbed an 'ICE killer' (or Internal Combustion Engine Killer), the Ola S1X is available in three variants and offers a certified range of up to 150 kilometers. The starting price for this electric scooter is around Rs 89,999.
In addition to the Ola S1X, the company also showed three new motorcycle concepts: the "Cruiser," "Adventure," and "Roadster."
Further, the company also showcased a sports motorcycle concept - the "Diamondhead" during the event.
