As the election campaigns are getting more and more trendy while keeping abreast with the pulse of the young voters, rapper Devang Patel of Patelscope fame has come with a rap voicing support for a second term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reports ANI.

Titled “Chowkidar Rap”, the video song first appeared on the website deshgujarat.com which was later tweeted by BJP. The song features issues that are part of the current political discourse in the country.

The video song gets cascading ahead with Devang Patel, dressed as a watchman and sporting the iconic moustache of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, featuring at the beginning.

In an apparent dig at the Congress party president Rahul Gandhi, the song begins with voice saying, “ Jo Desh ke Chowkidar bane hain vo chor hain (watchman of the country is a thief)”. Continuing the jibe, the song also says, no matter how much of a controversy is made out of Rafale deal or the Kashmir issue, in the end, “Ayega to Modi hi (Modi will continue as PM )“.

The song doesn’t spare the Mahagathbandhan too. Taking a spoof on Mayawati and Akhilesh, the foe turned friends, Patel calls them “Bua-Bhatija”.

Some of the phrases of the songs translates into, “All the thieves can make an alliance together. People can instigate casteism. Mamata can yell at the top of her voice to scare people. Kejriwal can try to fool people. People can point fingers at EVMs. Let them establish ties with Pakistan. Ultimately, Modi will be the winner,” as reported by ANI.
