Bharti Airtel has revised its year-long prepaid plan offering. The Sunil Mittal-led operator has increased its data offering from 1 GB per day to 1.4 GB per day in its Rs 1,699 prepaid plan, the Telecom Talk reports.
Subscribers recharging with the plan, need to do so only once in the year as the plan has validity for 365 days. The revision in the plan comes only in data offering. Customers would continue to avail unlimited local, STD and roaming calls alongside 100 messages per day.
Airtel is also bundling additional benefits of Airtel TV premium subscription to access Zee5, HOOQ content with over 350 live channels, and more than 10,000 movies and TV shows. The plan also offers Norton Mobile security, cashback on purchasing a new 45 device and Wynk subscription.
It seems Airtel has revised its Rs 1,699 plan to equal with Reliance Jio’s Rs 1,699 prepaid plan. With the revision. Airtel would be able to match the latest sector entrant’s similar year-long prepaid plan. Jio offers 1.5 GB per day, 100 MB more than what the Airtel is offering.
Jio offers unlimited voice calls- local, national and roaming, and 100 messages per day- same as Airtel. Jio subscribers to the year-long recharge plans will avail complimentary subscription to Jio Apps.
