‘Avengers: Endgame’ is breaking records in box offices around the world to storm into historic territory. Disney and Marvel’s movie has grossed $2.19 billion around the world in less than two weeks and become the number two film of all time, Livemint reports citing Exhibitor Relations.
The 22nd film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has now overtaken Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.07 billion) and Titanic ($2.18 billion). Only Avatar ($2.79 billion) is ahead of the latest superhero movie.
Avengers hit its record total in just 11 days, and recorded a stunning $575.8 million in China alone. Earlier, the movie also becomes topped Indian Box office in just a week of its release, earning Rs 310 crore, higher than any film ever released in Hindi.
With various analysts predicting a long run for the movie, it should soon cross Avatar as the top film of all time in earnings. Avengers: Endgame has a rich cast in Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper and Josh Brolin and draws a rare 96 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.9/1O on IMDb.
