Bengaluru: Police Arrests Techies Who Shouted Pro-Modi Slogans Outside Rahul Gandhi’s Rally, Alleges BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Tuesday (19 March) hit out at Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi over police action against techies during the Congress President’s in Bengaluru on Monday (18 March), reports News 18.

According to the report, Rahul Gandhi’s rally at Bengaluru saw chaos after several people started raising pro-Modi slogans outside the venue Manyata tech park. The protesters also put up placards demanding that Rahul Gandhi leave the venue. As the slogans became louder, the police tried to clear the area.

BJP alleged that several demonstrators, including techies, were taken into custody. It also condemned the police action against the protesters.

Following the incident, BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday (19 March) took a swipe at Gandhi over the arrest of the techies and said that youngsters give direction to the future and he should “stop intimidating youth of India, which has rejected your brand of politics”.

According to the report, Karnataka BJP leader CT Ravi alleged that Congress workers had “attacked techies who shouted Modi-Modi slogans”. However, the Bengaluru police has reportedly denied any arrests.
