BySwarajya Staff

In a bid to secure the best interests of its Information Technology (IT) industry in the second biggest economy in the world, India has launched its third IT corridor in China. The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), which is the trade association of Indian IT industry, has entered into a partnership with China's Xuzhou city from Jiangsu Province to help develop the corridor, reports Economic Times.

Xuzhou is the centre of the Huai Hai economic zone and plays the role of a vital national transportation hub connecting the major industrial and economic hubs like Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Suzhou.

“The signing of the ‘China-India (Xuzhou) IT Corridor Project’ is an important measure for the Indian software and service industry associations to enter the Chinese market and seize the development opportunity of the Huaihai Economic Zone” Mayor of Xuzhou Municipal Government said.

The two of the previous Indian IT corridors in China are located at Dalian and Guiyang cities. These have helped India to establish its presence in the burgeoning Chinese IT market in the domains of artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT) and analytics.
