Days After Congress Rises To Power In MP, Senior Party Leader Threatens To Beat Up BJP Workers

BySwarajya Staff

Congress candidate, Ashwin Joshi, who lost the elections from Indore - III constituency to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran Kailash Vijayvvargiya’s son Akash, has lashed out at the BJP. He has stated that he will ‘beat up’ BJP workers who, according to him, orchestrated his defeat by unfair means.

"I wanted to ask those, who will become ministers, not to give shelter to those people supporting BJP, whom I will beat up," lashed out Joshi.

The defeated candidate reportedly also asked office bearers to make a list of people who were working against the party, alongside a list of police officials and other officials to deal with the issue. Furthermore, he said that people who were involved in betting and selling illicit liquor should be banished from Indore.

"We should ensure that those police officers and other officials, who favour us, should stay here. Besides, those advocates who support us should be recruited on government posts," quoted Ashwin as reported by Times Of India.

Reports claim that the Congress candidate went on to ask senior members, city working president Vinay Bakliwal and MLA Sanjay Shukla to prepare a list of the party’s deceivers and start troubling them at length so that people get a message on what happens with deceivers of the Congress party.
