Delhi Police Catches Drug Kingpin And Afghan Associate With 130 Kg Heroin In Navi Mumbai

In a major development in favour of Delhi Police, it has busted and arrested a drug major and seized 260 jute bags containing 130 kilograms of soaked and dried Afghan heroin from a container in Navi Mumbai, reports The Hindu.

The seizure was made in a raid which was conducted by the Delhi Police after they nabbed auto rickshaw driver turned drug lord, Tifal Nau Khez and his Afghan associate Ahmad Shah Alokozai.

“A police team conducted a thorough search at Customs Bonded area in Panvel. A container which was imported by the accused through their contacts in Mumbai from the Bandar Abbas port of Iran had about 260 jute bags with basil seeds,” revealed Manishi Chandra, DCP (Special Cell).

As per the details shared by the Delhi Police, khez was a school dropout and was born to a penury-ridden family in Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh. He had been once arrested before in Punjab in 2013 with 250 grams of the same contraband after which he was incarcerated in Amritsar jail where he made contacts with many drug smugglers.
