Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which took out the class 12 results in just 28 days is now asking the Delhi University (DU) administration to hold exams according to the preponed results, reports The New Indian Express.
CBSE for the first time had released its results for the 12th board examination within 28 days, on 2 May. Generally, the class 12 results are rolled out in the third week of May.
"As per the directives of the Delhi High Court, CBSE has preponed all its activities of the conduct of examination, declaration of result and process of verification and re-evaluation. We have also written a letter to the Registrar of Delhi University to align the admission process as per the schedule fixed by the CBSE," stated a board official.
The official also added that the Delhi University now has to look into the last date of the submission of the application form so that the revaluation could be finished before the last date of the DU admission process.
DU is yet to release the admission dates whereas St Stephen's which does not partake in the centralised admission process has declared its schedule. The process for admission in St Stephen's is starting from 22 May.
