More the 2.14 lakh students have registered for undergraduate (UG) courses on the Delhi University’s website until Tuesday (11 June), India Today reports. The registrations for Delhi University UG courses began on 29 May and would close on 14 June.
The varsity said that they would be releasing five cut-off lists for the UG courses on 20 June, 25 June, 29 June, 4 July and 9 July respectively. 2,14,322 students who registered, 1,15,999 students had made payments until Tuesday, the university said. The total number of seats available for UG courses is 62,000.
The university also gave detailed statistics for the category-wise. From the total registrations, 73,363 applications were from the unreserved category, 20,317 applications were from backward classes, 16,815 from SC’s, 3,379 from ST’s and 2,142 from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
Delhi University opened registrations for the postgraduate courses (PG) on 3 June. By the next day, 23,822 candidates had registered on the website of which 5,688 have already made payments.
DU saw more women applying for UG courses until Tuesday. Of the total UG registrations, 12,472 were women applications, 11,340 were men applications and 10 are from the third gender.
