Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revealed that the state government has drawn out a plan to expand and develop Ayodhya as the Bhavya Ram Mandir construction has already kicked off, Hindustan Times reports.
The leader was addressing a fund-raising ceremony for the Ram Mandir at the Tilak hall of the Gorakhnath Temple at Gorakhpur on Wednesday.
CM Yogi recalled the that the duo of Mahant Digvijay Nath and Mahant Avaidyanath had played key roles in the entire Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He said that the demand for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya became a mass movement under Mahant Avaidyanath’s chairmanship of the Ram Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Samiti.
The Gorakhnath temple trust and Gorakhnath temple in Devipatan have contributed Rs 50 lakh Rs 51 lakh respectively for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Moreover, more than 40 traders from the city handed over their personal donations for the cause to Champat Rai, who is the vice-president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
