Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashoka on Thursday (27 December) sent a clear warning to anti-citizenship amendment act (CAA) violence makers that like Uttar Pradesh, it will also seize their properties if such acts are repeated, India Today has reported.
The Minister thus hoped that henceforth the miscreants would follow the law of the land and not force the government to take this step.
“...the way in which Uttar Pradesh government has decided to confiscate the properties of those indulging in violence - if such things (violence) happen again (here), it will be brought in Karnataka also”, Ashoka was quoted as saying.
As reported, the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has already sent notices to 372 rioters to pay up for the damages to public infrastructure otherwise their properties would be seized.
