Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday (18 August) sent a stern message to Pakistan by stating that if talks are to be held between the two countries they would be held over Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), ANI has reported.
While speaking at a public rally in Haryana’s Panchkula, Singh asserted that Article 370 was abrogated to ensure development in the region. He mentioned how since then Pakistan has been knocking on the doors of the international community against this decision.
In response he asserted that henceforth talks would only be held between the two countries if Pakistan stops terrorism and the topic of discussion would be Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
He also reminded the crowd of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement a few days ago in which he claimed that India was planning military action in POK on lines of the Balakot air strike. This, Singh said was meant that Pakistan has acknowledged India’s retaliatory action in POK.
