Indian Railways will be carrying out its largest ever recruitment drive for paramedical personnel, according to a PIB release. The recruitment process will comprise of a Computer Based Test (CBT), on the basis on which candidates will be shortlisted for 1923 vacancies.
The online test will happen over a three day period from 19 to 21 July, with three shifts on each particular day. The recruitment initiative has seen a massive response, with over 4.39 lakh applicants registering to take the test.
As for the general layout of the question papers, they will have a wide variety of sections, ranging from General Awareness, General Intelligence, Reasoning, General to General Arithmetic, Professional Stream, etc.
Candidates will be allotted 90 minutes to take the test, while extra time of 30 minutes will be provided to coming under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) category.
Some of the posts for which vacancies will be filled in via this recruitment process are: Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, Radiographer, Dietician, among others.
