Infosys Offers To Double The Salary Of Employees Who Finish Bridge-To-Consulting Programme

In a bid to give young employees more growth options, software major Infosys plans to double the pay packages of the employees who successfully complete bridge course, reports Times of India.

These programmes, according to the company, would help the staff to shift from their existing jobs to one that demand higher skills. The company also says that it expects to reduce attrition at junior levels which has been high at 20 per cent.

Recently, IT firms have been coming up with novel methods to skill employees in the field of consulting, automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

The bridge-to-consulting programme, would target employees who have spent more than three years with the company. Employees usually after three years, look for opportunities elsewhere for promotion, better salaries or higher studies. In order to avoid this, the company aims to move to the consulting side of the business includes a test and three-month curriculum.

The programme aims to double the existing salary to Rs 8-9 lakh per annum. Infosys said that employees who go through the programmes have seen their salary rise by 80-120 per cent. Some 400 people have been trained in these programmes till date.
