The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to declare the result for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main on its official website, www.nta.ac.in, by 30 April, reports Indian Express. However, there are reports that the result could get delayed and will be released after 30 April.
According to the IE report, as many as 9,35,741 students had registered for the JEE Main in April. The engineering courses in this session of JEE Main had registered a rise of 6,543 candidates while the architecture field saw a dip of 10,285 students against the exams in January.
As per the NTA, the percentile scores in the examination will be calculated up to seven decimal places to avoid ties.
The score of JEE Main is applicable for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and even private engineering and architecture courses.
The NTA will reportedly also release a cut-off for the candidates to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam, which is an entrance gateway for admission to the IITs.
According to the report, the NTA has also reopened the link for candidates to make category correction in their application form and apply for the newly introduced reservation quota for the economically weaker section (EWS).
