J&K: Restrictions In Kashmir Being Eased In Phased Manner Based On Assessment By Authorities, Says Government

The restrictions in Kashmir are being eased in a phased manner while the situation on the ground in Jammu division is back to normal, government spokesperson Rohit Kansal said on Tuesday (13 August), reports Asian News International (ANI).

While speaking to the media persons in Srinagar, Kansal said that the administration has been easing the imposed restrictions on the basis of assessment by the authorities in various areas in a phased manner.

He further informed the reporters that medical facilities are being provided to the people across the Valley. As many as 13,500 people have been given treatment at OPDs, 1,400 news admissions have also been done, besides performing of 600 medical procedures, he said.

Kansal also informed the media that all drugs, including the critical life saving drugs are available in adequate quantities in every hospital across the Valley.

As per a release from the Government, the traffic on the national highways passing through the state is plying normally. Similarly, the flights to and from the Valley are also operating normally, it said.

The administration is also carrying out preparations for the smooth conduct of Independence Day celebrations in every district of the Valley, said the release.

The administration had imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC after Centre scrapped Article 370 and bifurcated the state into two UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
