West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while speaking at a rally in Kolkata on Monday (16 December) attacked the Narendra Modi led Central government by questioning why has it stopped railway services in various parts of the state, just because some trains were burnt.
“Just because few trains were set on fire, Centre has stopped railway services in most parts of Bengal: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Kolkata rally”, Mamata was quoted as saying.
While speaking at the rally Mamata dared the centre to impose president’s rule in the state but asserted that under no circumstances would the state allow for the implementation of CAB and NRC in Bengal.
Mamata, whose government has been accused of providing a free pass to the rampaging protesters, alleged that the arsonists and violent mobs were actually paid by the BJP.
It was reported how violent mobs in Bengal set various railway stations on fire, burnt trains, uprooted tracks and also pelted stones on moving trains.
