Leading By Example: Manohar Parrikar Says Human Mind Can Overcome Any Disease On World Cancer Day

Ailing Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said on 4 February (Monday) that human mind can come over any disease. The message came on the occasion of World Cancer Day which is being globally observed today.

Parrikar is currently suffering from a pancreatic ailment and is admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi.

Parrikar recently won hearts after presenting the budget in the state assembly with a nasogastric tube. The chief minister was flown back to AIIMS Delhi for treatment after the conclusion of the three-day state legislative assembly session. According to the report, his treatment got delayed due to the inauguration of Atal Setu (third bridge on River Mandovi) and the state assembly session.

Last year, in February, Parrikar was diagnosed with the pancreatic ailment and has been admitted to hospitals in the USA, New Delhi, Goa and Mumbai since. The sources at AIIMS mentioned in the report say that his condition is stable.

Parrikar was visited by Rahul Gandhi, veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader LK Advani and Army Chief General Bipin Rawat.
