Lt Gen A K Bhatt Appointed DGMO, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh To GOC 1 Corps

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Lt Gen A K Bhatt as the new Director General of Military Operations (DGMO). Lt Gen Bhatt is from the Gorkha Rifles.

Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, who famously announced to the media that India had carried out surgical strikes across the Line of Control, has been appointed as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Strike 1 Corps.
