Mamata Takes U-Turn: Won’t Attend Modi’s Swearing In, Blames BJP’s Invite To Family Of 54 Partymen Killed In Bengal

Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter to announce today (29 May) that she won't be attending the swearing in ceremony of Narendra Modi tomorrow.

Banerjee cited the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) reported decision to invite family members of 54 party members who the party says died in political violence in the state of Bengal.

In the note she has posted on Twitter Banerjee says that 'there have been no political murders in Bengal'. She attributes the murders and violence to other reasons such as personal enmity, family quarrels and other disputes.
