The chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Central Waqf Board Wasim Rizvi has announced that he is donating Rs 51,000 for the cause of building the Ram temple at Ayodhya, reports India Today.
"Now preparations are on for the construction of a grand temple at the Ram Janmasthan. Since Lord Ram is the ancestor of all of us, Muslims also, Rs 51,000 on behalf of the 'Wasim Rizvi Films' is being given to Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas towards temple construction," he said.
Rizvi reiterated the Board’s support for the the Ram temple, lauding the Supreme Court’s recent judgment on the issue as the best possible verdict that could have been expected.
He added that whenever the construction process begins, the Shia Waqf Board would aid in the efforts. Rizvi also highlighted the fact that the construction of the temple was a matter of pride among ‘Rambhakts’ (Followers of Lord Ram) all across the world.
This comes in the aftermath of the apex court’s final ruling on the decades old case on 9 November, awarding the disputed site at Ram Janmabhoomi entirely for the construction of a Ram temple. A trust is also being constituted for the same in accordance with the judgment.
