In Rajasthan, where 20 candidates were leading by 2 lakh votes and in Uttar Pradesh, two men in saffron are set to emerge victorious with a huge margin.
Swami Sakshi Ji Maharaj is leading by 4,00,178 votes in Unnao, a lead in tandem with Narendra Modi's in Varanasi, who has now surpassed the earlier figure and leads by 4,19,996 votes. Sakshi Maharaj has been on an offensive, attacking the opposition a day before counting was to be held. He had also charged at the opposition saying that while BJP was welcoming slogans like"Vande Mataram", Congress was encouraging "Chowkidar chor hai" slogans.
He also rubbed salt on the opposition's wounds, and said that people had voted for Modi surpassing religion and caste barriers.
In Sikar, Sumedhanand Saraswati is leading against Subhash Maharia of Congress at 2,90,234 votes. Saraswati is a sitting MP and is vocal on several issues.
