Naseeruddin Shah Slams Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli, Calls Him ‘World’s Worst Behaved Player’

Noted Film Actor Naseeruddin Shah waded into a controversy by describing Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli as the “world's worst behaved player”, Times of India has reported.

In a Facebook post, the actor stated, “Virat Kohli is not only the world’s best batsman but also the world’s worst behaved player.”

Shah also went on to add, “Kohli’s cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners.. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way.”

Some cricket fans appeared to counter Shah’s criticism by claiming that one needs to show aggression if they want to beat the Aussies.

Shah's remark came in the wake of a viral video in which Kohli appeared to make a caustic comment against a critic who claimed that he liked watching English and Australian batsmen more than the current crop of Indian players.

Kohli had commented that the fan should leave the country if he liked English and Aussie batsmen more. He later clarified that his "leave India" jibe was a reaction to the questioner's "You Indians ..." comment.
