To make the digital payment process easier for its users, Reliance Jio has introduced an in-application digital assistant known as ‘Jio Saarthi’, reports NDTV Gadgets. The feature is integrated with the assistant in the My Jio app to facilitate digital recharges for subscribers.
The move is aimed to boost online recharge payments via the app and ease the digital process for users who are not used to recharging their balance online. The feature is available for users who have never recharged their balance digitally before, and hence users who have performed digital recharge will not see ‘Saarthi’ in the MyJio app.
The feature provides step-by-step voice direction to pick up recharge options on the app. It is designed to help users locate payment details and help use their credit or debit cards for digital recharges. The feature will be available in English and Hindi, after which Reliance would steadily increase the coverage to 12 regional languages.
The telecom has projected Jio Saarthi as a first-of-its-kind digital initiative with a focus on Reliance Jio subscribers who have not recharged online yet. The latest feature joins HelloJio virtual assistant in the MyJio app.
