Members of the Pashtun community lodged a strong protest against the terror camps operating in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA regions, ANI has reported.
This protest took place at the sidelines of the United Nations Human Rights Council session in Geneva.
Pashtun Tahafuz Movement’s member Fazal-ur-Rehman demanded (from the Pakistani establishment) that they be given an opportunity to live with honour and asserted that they are against terrorism.
He added that innocent civilians are killed by the Pakistani military which is also responsible for around 32,000 disappearances. He also demanded that an account be given over the total disappearances and deaths.
As per a Pashtun political activist, the terror camps in the region are used to train terrorists for deployment in Afghanistan but at the same time they can be used to attack Kashmir. He thus demanded that the terror groups be dismantled and asserted that communities like the Pashtuns, Baloch or Sindhis are opposed to them.
