Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his day-long visit to Uttar Pradesh on Monday (16 December), launched various development projects worth Rs 1,000 crore in Rae Bareli.
Prime Minister also visited the Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Rae Bareli and flagged off its nine hundredth coach, a Humsafar Rake, built at the factory. He acknowledged the contribution of the MCF and said that it has provided jobs to the youth and is going to make Rae Bareli a global hub of rail coach manufacturing.
The Prime Minister, speaking on the occasion, said that the projects that were dedicated, inaugurated, or for which foundation stones were laid today, are cumulatively worth Rs. 1000 crore.
Modi also recalled the 1971 war and hailed the Indian army for defeating forces symbolising terror, cruelty and lawlessness.
He, while taking a jibe on the opposition, said on the one hand the union government is committed to bolstering the strength of the Indian Armed Forces, and on the other side, some people do not want our Armed Forces to be strong.
The Prime Minister also informed that to increase farmer’s income, the NDA government has increased Minimum Support Price for 22 crops and said this decision alone will provide an additional Rs 60 thousand crores to the farmers.
He said that the Union Government is committed to the Mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas."
