RSS Passes Major Resolutions On Education, Health, Social Harmony

BySwarajya Staff

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) passed three major resolutions on the three-day annual meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), the highest body for policy formulation and decision-making of the right-wing group in Nagaur, Rajasthan.

In the first resolution, the RSS said there is a need for effective health care and easy access to affordable medical services. For this, well-functioning medical services of all kinds and systems need to be expanded across the country, especially in rural and tribal areas. Information technology should be effectively used for the continuity in treatment and expert counsel.

The group was appreciative of the scheme for distribution of free medicines initiated in states in the last few years. The ABPS also called upon the country’s industry groups, voluntary and social organisations and charitable trusts to come forward to make facilities available for people.

In the second resolution, the RSS said the government must come forward to take responsibility for allocating adequate resources and formulating appropriate policies. There is a need to curb the rising commercialisation of the education sector so that the pupils are not compelled to acquire education at unaffordable costs, said the group.

The ABPS said it is essential to ensure proper training and appropriate salaries and strengthen the dutifulness of the teachers to enhance their standard, both in state-run and private schools.

In the third resolution, the RSS said that each individual should conduct oneself with samarasata (social harmony) in day-to-day personal, familial and societal life on the basis of our eternal and timeless life ideals. It is this conduct that will eradicate caste discrimination, untouchability and mutual distrust from society, and all of us will experience an integral and samaras life free of exploitation, said the group.
