Road To Ram Mandir Now Cleared Of All Obstructions As SC Dismisses Review Petitions Against Ayodhya Verdict

The Supreme Court on Thursday (12 December) dismissed all the review petitions filed against its verdict in Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi case, reports ANI.

A five-judge bench headed by CJI S A Bobde and comprising of Justices D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan, Abdul Nazeer and Sanjeev Khanna heard the petitions in a chamber.

The petitioners included a number of Muslim parties, backed by All Indian Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), Hindu Mahasabha and Nirmohi Akhara. Their petitions have pleaded that there were “apparent errors” in the SC judgment, reports Live Law.

The SC, in its 9 November Judgment in Ramjanmabhoomi case, had held that the Hindu parties have better claim of possessory title over the land, and had allowed the construction of a temple in the entire area of 2.77 acres, under the supervision of a trust created by Central government.
