Tech giants, Google, has released a new revamped version of “Google My Business”, the Tribune India reports. The application is created to assist the small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in managing their profiles actively and boost engagement with their customers.
The company said, ‘Google My Business’ is a simple and free tool for SMB’s wanting to begin their online journey via listings on Google and ensure their business presence is updated on Google’s search and navigation platforms.
The revamped application will enable the business to improve their profiles and communicate with customers on the go. Various latest features like the new post button, bottom navigation bar and a customer tab are added.
These features will allow business to follow and message their customers directly from the application, thus strengthening the engagement between parties.
Director, Marketing Solutions, Google India, Shalini Girish, in a statement said, "The new Google My Business app deepens our commitment to help businesses grow online. The new app will encourage businesses to manage their presence on Google in real time, make their profiles more appealing and interact with customers".
Explaining how the app works, Girish says, "For instance, if you're a restaurant owner and have a packed house on a Friday night, the app allows you to create a post with a picture of the restaurant to engage with prospective customers on Maps and Search".
Girish says that she is hoping the real-time presence will go a long way and help business in attracting new customers while also bringing back existing customers.
