United States-based technology entrepreneur Vinod Sujan has announced that his search engine to counter internet giant Google will be ready by 2019, MoneyControl has reported. Sujan’s search engine will be a blockchain-driven one and will not do paid ‘search engine result page (SERP)‘ placements like Google. SERPs are pages that are displayed by a search engine for specific keywords.
“Unlike Google, we will not do paid SERP placement to generate online sales for clients. Unlike Google, we will not do paid SERP placement to generate leads. Unlike Google, we will not do paid SERP placement to drive traffic for client websites,” Sujan told MoneyControl.
Aarzoo Search will scale the peer-to-peer model used in file sharing applications to the entire internet. Its ‘stealth technology’ is also expected to make the internet faster and efficient to handle rising number of internet users.
Vinod Sujan’s project is based on `Pursuit Project’, which was first proposed in a paper by the University of Cambridge. It based on the idea of creating “a revolutionary new architecture that aims to make the internet more “social” by eliminating the need to connect to servers and enabling all content to be shared more efficiently”.
