Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday underwent dialysis after a kidney failure at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). "I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis," the ailing minister tweeted.
The Bharatiya Janata Party leader said she was also undergoing tests for a kidney transplant. "Lord Krishna will bless," she added.
Swaraj is admitted at the cardio-neuro centre of AIIMS under the supervision of Balram Airan, chief of the Cardio Thoracic Centre. She was admitted on 7 November and is being monitored by a team of doctors. She has been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years.
