Swami Nithyananda: As Many As 12 lakh People Have Applied For Citizenship Of ‘Kailasaa’ Nation

In the latest video uploaded on his Facebook page, controversial godman Swami Nithyananda as claimed that as many as 12 lakh people have applied for the citizenship of ‘Kailasaa’ nation .

Earlier last week, reports emerged that Swami Nithyananda has reportedly set up his own country 'Kailaasa' . While it is yet not clear where the 'Kailaasa' nation is located, a website named Kailaasa.org has popped up suggesting that godman has founded his own country and designed its flag, constitution and emblem.

The website declared that theSwami Nithyanand has declared a 'Hindu sovereign nation' and even has a cabinet along with a Prime Minister. It has also called for donations for the country and through it, an opportunity to gain citizenship of the "greatest Hindu nation", Kailaasa.

In the latest video, Nithyananda announced that he would unveil the roadmap for achieving a Kailaasa nation on the auspicious occassion of Karthikai Deepam (Nov 10).

In the video, Swami Nithyananda is heard saying that his e-mail account has been flooded with queries on the process for becoming citizen of his newly announced nation.

Swami Nithyananda sought time to respond to the questions of his followers on the path to nationhood . He expressed gratitude to his supporters who have come forward to donate lands. He also requested his to remain restrained and not to respond “provocative attacks” from the media and other “conspirators from within and outside”.

”A few countries, I do not wish to reveal the particulars, have approached me directly to form Kailaasa country. We will soon work out with them towards establishing the new country and I will inform as soon as it happens,” Swami Nithyananda added

In another video that he released, Swami Nithyananda claimed that Kailasa will not be a geographic piece of land but a cosmic conception.

”The country has gained popularity due to the memes and the creators. I do not know if they are noble or otherwise, but they work for the money they get,” he said.

On 6 December, the Ministry of External Affairs said Swami Nithyananda’s passport was cancelled before its validity was to expire in 2018 and that his application for a new one was also rejected because of the cases pending against him.
