The Tamil Nadu Muslim League on Tuesday (4 June) filed a police complaint against popular popular online multiplayer game PUBG by alleging that it hurts Muslim sentiments, Times Now has reported.
The complaint claims that the latest update has incorporated a model of the Kabba which the Muslim League claims, is hurting the sentiments of Muslims as well as distracting gamers.
The complaint dated 3 June sent to the Chennai police commissioner describes this update as “offensive” and as a resulted demanded an immediate ban on the game.
As per the report, the one year anniversary update of PUBG contained a birthday crate which included items like the Kabba which caused a furore among the Muslim community. Following this, the game developers Tencent Game decided to roll back the offending update.
