The latest way to reduce your monthly TV bill is by choosing add-on, mini packs provided by Direct-to-the-home (DTH) service providers. Tata Sky, which has been performing better than most other players in the field, is now offering a slew of regional add-on, mini packs, as reported by Telecom Talk.
The packs have been introduced in regional languages such as Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Bengali, and cost as low as Rs 5. Through this move, Tata Sky is looking to boost its regional offering.
Sports and music based packs have also been introduced and are also up on offer.
Apart from these regional language add-on plans, there is also a new English Movies HD Mini pack of Rs 162 which ships 12 channels.

The date for implementation has changed from 1 February to 31 March for subscribers to choose their channel packs. This extension enables a smoother migration to new TRAI based plans.
