Telangana Chief Minister (CM) K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday (3 August) announced a major 60-day action plan for developing greenery and hygiene in the villages of the state, reports Asian News International (ANI).
Making the announcement about the plan, Rao asserted, "Situation in villages did not improve or change though we have attained freedom several decades ago. Though thousands of crores are being spent all these years in different forms yet the results are not visible."
Rao asserted that his government's aim is to get a qualitative change in the villages. "For this, we will take all the measures," he said..
The chief minister also announced that under the 60-day action plan, about 100 flying squads comprising important officials will be sent across the villages for surprise checks.
He stated that if the laid down tasks will not be completed during the 60-day course, then action will be taken against officials and public representatives concerned.
