US President Donald Trump on Monday called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated him on the success of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the recent assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

According to the Hindustan Times, this phone call was the third publicly known conversation between Modi and Trump.

The information was shared by White House press secretary Sean Spicer, who told reporters about the call during the daily briefing. It was also tweeted from the official handle of the prime minister’s office.
