Uttar Pradesh bureaucrats and officers going on official trips abroad will now have to give a presentation of the skills they gained there and their benefits for the state, said a senior state official.
While sending on foreign study trips, priority will be given to officers who have prior knowledge and experience of the subject of the trip and who can help the state gain from their tour.
"Every year, senior officials and bureaucrats go abroad on study trips or to participate in events on behalf of the state. The Chief Minister's permission is sought for these trips, but the Chief Minister's Office does not get to know about what the officers learnt on these trips. So it has been decided that all senior officials going abroad for a study trip or an event will make a presentation on their return," said an official.
An order has been issued in this regard by Chief Secretary S P Goyal to all senior bureaucrats in the state.
