Watch: Andhra CM Jagan Reddy Refuses To Perform Hindu Tradition Of Lighting Ceremonial Lamp During US Event

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy who is a Christian by faith has been accused of being anti-Hindu by the BJP, after he purportedly refused to light the ceremonial lamp while inaugurating an event in the US, where he is currently on a personal visit.

A video of him refusing to light the lamp was shared by BJP Andhra Pradesh which claimed that his temple visits ahead of the state elections were merely poll gimmicks to fool Hindus. The party also accused Jagan of being anti-Hindu.

In the video, Jagan’s associates can be seen urging him to light the ceremonial lamp which is a Hindu tradition practised before every function. One of Jagan’s associates even went on to light him a match but the Andhra CM sheepishly refuses to do the needful and went away.

Jagan was recently accused of misusing public funds to pay for his security during a private visit to Jerusalem along with his family.
