Pakistan Batsman Azhar Ali got out in a hysterical manner during the third day of the second test against Australia in Abu Dhabi on Thursday (18 October).
Ali had hit a Peter Siddle delivery toward the third man boundary and past the fielder placed at gully and walked toward his partner Asad Safiq in the middle of the pitch to discuss something thinking it was a four.
Meanwhile, the ball had stopped before it reached the boundary ropes and Mitchell Starc with quick presence of mind threw it towards the keeper Tim Paine who dislodged the bails quickly.
The Australians were celebrating while Ali and his partner were dumbfounded and looked dazed as the former departed for 64. Despite this comic incident Pakistan are firm in control of the Test as they have already amassed a lead of over 300 runs.
