West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been caught on camera converting a BJP party office into a Trinamool one while various party leaders and police personnel looked on.
In the video Mamata can be seen using a paint brush to paint her party’s symbol on what used to be a BJP office. She can be heard ordering the cops to close the party office and hand over its keys to her party men.
As per an India Today report, the incident happened in Naihati area of North 24 Parganas district, a few days ago. The report claimed that the office earlier belonged to the Trinamool and was then captured by the BJP led by newly elected MP Arjun Singh’s men.
Mamata and her supporters were thus claiming that their action was an effort to reclaim the said party office. In the video, Mamata’s supporters in the background can be heard acting scared of BJP workers, following which the Chief Minister slammed them for being cowardly and asserted that her government still rules the state.
Mamata was later heard ordering the removal of BJP’s flag and also illustrated her party’s initials on a wall besides the office shutter.
