Watch: MP Nusrat Jahan Offers Durga Puja Prayers, Plays Traditional Dhaak At Kolkata’s Suruchi Sangha

Trinamool MP Nusrat Jahan on Sunday (6 October) offered Ashtami prayers and also played the traditional Dhaak at Kolkata’s prominent Suruchi Sangha Durga Puja, ANI reported.

Nusrat Jahan who is a Member of Parliament from Basirhat was seen offering prayers along with her husband Nikhil Jain, while wearing a Bindi, Sindoor and saree.

Later she was recorded playing the traditional Dhaak while other participants in the puja looked on joyously.

Nusrat Jahan had recently faced a backlash Radical Islamist clerics. Soon after taking oath in the Lok Sabha a fatwa was issued against her for wearing sindoor and for not marrying a Muslim.
