Watch: PM Modi Uses Virtual Firing Range At Lucknow Defence Expo As Yogi Adityanath Looks On

Prime Minister Narendra Modi after inaugurating the DefExpo 2020 in Lucknow on Wednesday (5 February), checked out a virtual firing range on display at the exhibition.

In the video Prime Minister Modi can be seen shooting virtual targets using a mock assault rifle while an eager Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath looked on.

Earlier while speaking at the inauguration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi saijavascript:void(0)d that India aims to increase its defence exports to $5 billion.

The main theme of the Expo is 'India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub' and the primary focus is on 'Digital Transformation of Defence'.

Speaking at the event, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “As part of our efforts to unleash the potential in defence production, we have liberalised Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) cap to 49 per cent through the direct route, and above that upto 100 % through the government route.”
