Dramatic scenes were witnessed at the residence of INX scam accused senior Congress leader P Chidambaram after CBI officials climbed the boundary wall to enter his house as the main gate remained closed.
Chidambaram who was untraceable since Tuesday (20 August) evening after the Delhi High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea in the INX Media scam, today (21 August) surfaced at the Congress headquarters in New Delhi to address the media.
After the press conference Chidambaram arrived at his residence and after getting wind of it, a team of CBI and ED officials decided to pursue him and ended up reaching his residence as well.
The investigating officers though found his gate locked which was not opened by anyone despite their persistent knocking. The undeterred officials though refused to give up and climbed the boundary wall of his house to enter the premises.
These officials then appear to have opened the main door to allow their fellow comrades to enter his house.
It remains to be seen what action do the officials take against Chidambaram who has denied any wrongdoing.
