A 27-year-old man, alleged to be a worker of the Hindu Jagaran Manch, was murdered and his body was found with injuries on his head and neck a little distance away from his home , reports India Today.
As per police, the man's body and his bike was found at the spot at around 11 pm on Tuesday (24 December) at Kalyani in West Bengal's Nadia district.
The family said that the victim left house in a hurry on receiving a phone. Later they were informed that his body has been found nearby and on rushing to the spot they identified the body.
The family claims that the murder was pre-planned. The victim’s elder brother said that local Trinamool Congress workers had asked his younger brother to join their party and was murdered as he refused to comply to their demand.
The police also said that an investigation is underway in the case.
