‘Will Appoint Lawyers Of International Repute’: Pakistan To Take Kashmir Issue To International Court of Justice

After losing face at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, Pakistan is preparing to fight another legal battle against India at the top court over Kashmir, reports Livemint.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi revealed the information in an interview to Pakistan based ARY News TV in which he said, "An in-principle decision has been taken to take the issue of Kashmir to the International Court of Justice."

Qureshi also mentioned that the government led by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had taken the decision after taking all legal aspects into thinking. He also said that further details about the case will be issued by Pakistan's Law Ministry.

Later, Imran Khan's special assistant on information, Firdous Ashiq Awan told media persons that Pakistan will be filing the case against alleged human rights violations in Kashmir Valley. She also added that Pakistan will be appointing lawyers of international repute, after the drubbing received in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.
