Apple Suspends Siri Quality Control Programme After Users Across The World Raise Privacy Concerns

Apple Inc recently received a lot of flak from users across the globe after it acknowledged that its Siri application eavesdropped on the conversations without user-knowledge or permissions even when the application was not activated. This raised a global uproar over privacy concerns.
Responding to the complaints, the company has now said that it is suspending the grading process of Siri globally and will review the process, which according to Apple was used to test whether Siri was hearing queries correctly or not, reports TechCrunch.
The tech major also said that with future software updates, the users would get to choose whether they wish to share their information for grading and quality tests performed to analyse Siri's query hearing capabilities.
In the present-day scenario, Apple either gives its users the option to completely disable Siri, or not at all. Meanwhile, Siri's leading competitor Google Assistant gives the users the option to disable the microphone recordings, while still using voice assistant.
