Congress worker trying to hang himself (@ANI/Twitter)
A Congress worker in Delhi tried to hang himself to death in an attempt to put pressure on party president Rahul Gandhi to not quit from his position, ANI has reported.
In the incident which took place outside the Congress office in Delhi, the Congress worker threatened to hang himself unless Rahul Gandhi decided to take back his resignation. He was later stopped by the police.
This comes after continual drama by various Congress functionaries to change the mind of Rahul Gandhi who is purportedly adamant on quitting as party president following Congress’ Lok Sabha debacle.
Currently, a few Congress leaders are said to be on an indefinite hunger strike outside the party headquarters after resigning from their positions last week. Congress Chief Ministers from all five states also met Rahul Gandhi to urge him to continue as party president.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
