Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)‘s controversial leader Amanatullah Khan is currently trailing from Okhla assembly as per the early trends of the Delhi Assembly Election results.

Counting of votes began on Tuesday (11 January) for the Delhi Assembly polls that were held on 8 February.

The constituency is witnessing a triangular contest between AAP’s Khan, Congress’ Parvez Hashmi, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)‘s Brahm Singh.

While, Khan has often been in news for his Islamist remarks, recently he has been accused of inciting violence during the anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) protests in the capital city.

He was also booked by the Ghaziabad police for inciting an anti-CAA mob.

Counting for the 70 Assembly constituencies, which started at 8 am, is taking place at 21 locations in the capital city. There were a total of 672 candidates in the fray.

The Delhi Assembly elections held on 8 February, saw a high-voltage campaign between the ruling AAP and the BJP, while the Congress ended up as inconsequential participant.

The exit polls had predicted a comfortable victory for the Kejriwal-led party.
