PM Modi Emphasises Development, Heritage, and Public Service (X)
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (1 November) inaugurated the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, calling the state’s 25-year journey “inspiring” as it transformed from a region associated with Naxal violence and backwardness into a symbol of prosperity, security, and stability, reported The New Indian Express.
“The true significance of the new assembly building's inauguration lies in our collective resolve to perform our duties with sincerity and uphold the spirit of democracy,” he said.
He continued, all of us must remember that this legislative assembly is more than just a place to make laws; it is a vibrant centre and a powerful force in shaping Chhattisgarh's destiny.
As a result, we must ensure that every initiative originating from here reflects the ethos of public service, commitment to progress, and belief in propelling India to new heights.
Modi emphasised that “Nagrik Devo Bhava” (Citizen is God) guides good governance.
He urged lawmakers to craft laws that simplify lives, accelerate reforms, and balance government presence without undue interference.
He attributed the state’s development and improved security to the collective efforts of its citizens and the BJP’s leadership.
PM Modi earlier unveiled a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the assembly premises, stating, India is moving forward by taking heritage and development together.
He said Chhattisgarh will play a pivotal role in achieving a developed India by 2047, marking the country’s centenary of independence.
